Castolin Eutectic offers maintenance, surface protection and special joining using welding, brazing and coating technologies in different industry sectors, such as oil & gas, steel, chemical, waste & recycling, pulp & paper, glass, power generation, agriculture and mining.The company was sold from Messer Group to Paragon Partners in 2021. With the carve out a new management structure will be established.We are currently looking for a R and D Manager to join our Team in Dublin, Ireland.Responsibilities: Contribute to creation of project plans in liaison with product managementLead the integration of new products into manufacturingCollaborate with key customers to identify shared opportunities for development in accordance with customer needsTechnical contribution to troubleshooting activities in relation to non-conformances, process issues, customer complaints.Ongoing review and update of product specifications, QC weld test procedures, raw material specifications & approvals.Decision making on approval/rejection of non-conforming powder batchesHands-on work when needed (laboratory; SEM/metallography, weld/wear tests etc.). Skills and Experience: Education in metallurgy or material science (BSc, MSc, PhD)Fluent EnglishEffective communicator3-5 years experience in a similar roleAbility to work well in teamsProject Management experienceAbility to use own initiativeAnalytical skills
