HR Governance and Compliance Manager

Description:
HR Governance and Compliance Manager, Ardagh Group. This role will be a critical member of our central HR team supporting both our Metal and Glass businesses on global HR compliance and governance matters. The role will be responsible for managing compliance and governance at a global level around topics including HR internal and external audits; compliance frameworks at a global level for employment related regulatory requirements and implementing social sustainability requirements. It supports our regional and global HR teams in establishing controls and processes to mitigate risks and to ensure SOX compliance and is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our global HR policies and procedures. This role will be a cross-functional partner working closely with our regional HR teams; with our Internal Audit team, Risk team and with our Compliance and Legal team to ensure the successful and consistent delivery of global HR Compliance-related activities, oversight, audit and governance, including overall management, coordination, and controls. You will provide experienced consultation to HR teams on compliance-related questions. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Consult, influence, and perform as a trusted advisor to build cross-functional partnerships and collaboration at all levels across the HR, Internal Audit, Risk, Sustainability, Compliance and Legal teams to address compliance requirements. In partnership with the Legal team, maintain awareness of and track new legislation, benchmark/research legal and regulatory requirements, and engage the right HR teams to ensure timely implementation of processes that follow new legal requirements. Collaborate with HR, Risk, Sustainability Compliance and Legal teams to create, review, maintain, and update global HR policies, and be responsible for the policy review and approval process. In collaboration with internal stakeholders, work with project teams to translate legal obligations into policy, system, or process requirements, supervise the effectiveness of processes designed to meet obligations including SOX, and develop and/or advise on remediation plans to mitigate risk. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HR compliance and governance practices. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance the organisation's compliance framework. Develop and implement ongoing monitoring and audit processes including internal controls, analyse results, and develop appropriate recommendations to ensure and enhance adherence to compliance standards and mitigate risk. Establish and foster a working environment which promotes the importance of employees acting with integrity and in an ethical manner. Ensure that all HR practices align with the organisation's values and ethical standards. Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility. Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures Take responsibility for managing and executing ad hoc projects relevant to your areas of responsibilities as assigned by your manager, ensuring timely completion, high-quality outcomes, and effective collaboration across departments as needed.
