Join our dynamic and innovative team in Workday's UI Platform and help us build a context-aware co-pilot experience that leverages the power of large language models.Recent technological advancements in machine learning and generative AI have enabled software products to become context-aware and adapt to individual users' needs. As a result of this investment, we're recruiting Frontend and Fullstack (Python) Developers to join a newly formed team within our UI Platform group in Dublin. About the Role At Workday, we're on a mission to empower our 55+ million users to be more productive and utilize Workday to its full potential. We leverage machine learning (ML) to analyze software usage patterns and provide guidance features that help users achieve their goals.Our AI & Guidance software stack consists of a Python-based backend and a React-based frontend. We encourage self-organization within teams to address specific problems. While proficiency in React is essential, prior Python backend experience is advantageous.At Workday, scalability has been a core principle since inception. About You Responsibilities:Work in a multi-disciplinary scrum team. Define, build, deploy and own new featuresCollaborate with visual and interaction designers to craft the UI of the productDrive technical design and architecture meetings with the team and perform peer code reviews as part of everyday workflowDemonstrate technical awareness, vision and influencing skills in your interactions with the people outside your immediate team/orgHave passion for innovation and ability to contribute to shaping the technical and product roadmapsAnd finally: Have fun engineering software!Basic Qualifications (must-haves):4-5 years experience developing software in a commercial environment 2+ years' experience in developing web applications in ReactPython experience is ideal with experience developing backend services an advantage3+ years' experience in developing web applications in HTML5/CSS/JS using frameworks/librariesExperience of working in an agile ,fast paced continuous delivery environment Other Qualifications (nice to haves) : Experience working with ML and a curiosity about venturing into the backend service when needed to take on end-to-end problems would be an advantage.Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalentHaving a GitHub profile or portfolio page would be a nice optional addition Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
