We are a specialist provider of consultancy and implementation services for IT infrastructure and data architectures within life science manufacturing. Our role is to be a companion on the road for technology teams to be able to use as a tool at times when decisions need to be made.We now have an amazing opportunity for a Building Management Systems Engineer to join our growing team and work on site with our blue-chip multinational clients within the pharmaceutical industry. This role is based out of one of our client sites in Limerick.The Position: As a Building Management System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of their facilities. You will work with state-of-the-art building automation systems, including Siemens X-works, Desigo Insight, and Desigo CC, to manage and optimize HVAC systems and various other building systems. Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Building Management SystemMonitor and control various building infrastructure systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC)Integrate different systems and devices within the facility, ensuring they work seamlessly togetherMonitor and control critical systems to maintain ideal conditions for pharmaceutical productionEnsure that the BMS system is compliant with regulatory requirements (GMP/GAMP)Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to HVAC systems, building automation, and controls.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for building system improvements and energy efficiency.Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and performance of building automation systems.Provide technical support and training to end-users and facility maintenance staff. Previous Experience with : Proficiency in programming and configuring automation controllers and software. (Siemens X-works, Desigo Insight and Desigo CC.)Strong understanding of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systemsKnowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and building management systems (BMSFamiliarity with industry-standard protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Lon Works.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and electronics.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong communication and teamwork skills.A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, coupled with a Degree in IT, Science or Engineering.Previous experience in a regulated pharmaceutical environment is a mustMust hold a full valid Irish work permit.
