Automation Engineer – GalwayThe ultimate purpose of technology teams in GxP environments is to serve the evolving needs of the business. We are a specialist provider of consultancy and implementation services for IT infrastructure and data architectures within life science manufacturing. Our role is to be a companion on the road for technology teams to be able to use as a tool at times when decisions need to be made.We now have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team and work on site with our blue-chip multinational clients within the pharmaceutical industry. This role is based out of one of our client's site's in Galway.The PositionThe successful candidate will be a smart, enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in developing their technical knowledge. Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to – Provide technical and automation support to sustain business needs.Perform investigation of manufacturing deviations and anomalies related to automation and software.Implement software changes and upgrades in adherence with procedures.Manage projects related to corrective action or equipment performance improvement. The Requirements A minimum of 3 -4 years’ experience in a similar role, coupled with a Degree in IT, Science or Engineering.Knowledge of GAMP lifecycle and quality management processes employed in a regulated environment.You must have strong experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley automation systems.Previous experience in a GMP environment is a must.Experience of configuring ThinManager applications.A full valid Irish work permit is preferred but not essential.
