Your role will be key in supporting the business’s fleet and MEICA direct delivery functions. You will lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team of fleet/transport staff in a one-team culture while actively contributing to your own skills and experience. You will report on an ongoing basis to the asset manager on all aspects of direct delivery and fleet/transport management.You will work closely with the asset manager and fleet admin support to ensure fleet management strategy is implemented and maintained. You will prepare and present business cases for fleet/pant investment strategies.Glanua is a progressive company that always seeks to develop its employees. When you demonstrate aptitude and interest in furthering your career within the organisation, training and promotion will always be available to you.Main Duties and Responsibilities:The main duties and responsibilities of the Asset Manager are outlined as follows: Management of the Group Fleet / Transport sector in its entirety, including commercial planning and budgeting, fleet asset maintenance and reporting.Work closely with the Asset Manager and fleet admin support to ensure the fleet and transport sector is actively managed and maintained.Monitor and track the fleet/plant management strategy.Develop and present any adjustment to the fleet/plant management strategy including business cases for investment.Liaise with RSA to comply with relevant legislation and communicate to company fleet users.Work with company HSQE Department and fleet users to ensure the driver code of conduct policy is being adhered to.Manage Group Direct Delivery MEICA team, to include line management of discipline supervisors, site allocation planning, new hire resourcing. Will require site visits nationwide.Work as part of a team to support the group, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture.Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to.Be involved in the growth and development of the company including expansion of the direct delivery model.Provide robust leadership and a sounding board for supporting site teams.Show an eagerness to learn and progress in your own career as well as the mentoring and training of more junior staff.Other duties as required from time to time. Knowledge, Skills and Experience:The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Asset Manager are outlined as follows: Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.Strong team leader & decision maker.Transport management requires knowledge & understanding of fleet management.Budgeting and assets planning/purchasing experience is desirable.MEICA trades management experienceProject / site install delivery/management background is desirable.An interest in developing a career within an industry-leading organisation.Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise.Good working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.Full driving licence What we offer you: The opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organisation.Monday to Friday working week finishing early on Fridays.22 days annual leave plus 10 bank holidays.Competitive base salary with annual salary review.A company laptop and phone.Fully expensed company vehicleAccess to EAP – 24/7 365 days confidential employee counselling service, free to avail for employees and their families.
