Reporting directly to the Network Operations Centre Manager, this role is dedicated to providing the following service for our customers and clients.Operational Support for a range of customers across all verticals based requiring the following skillsets:• Linux OS skills (specifically Red Hat and Debian)• Application stacks (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss)• Monitoring & alert configuration (WhatsUp Gold, but any other enterprise tool applies) The following skillsets would also be advantageous• Automation - Tools for management and configuration control (Ansible, Git)• Scripting Experience (Python, Bash, PHP)• Red Hat Satellite Server (server patching)• Cloud Infrastructure & services (Azure)• Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)• Microsoft Applications (Server, Exchange, AD, PowerShell)• Dell SAN configuration• BigFix Endpoint Management In this position, the selected candidate will have customer-facing responsibilities and will need to be experienced in the fulfilment and delivery of IT solutions. The chosen candidate will be security focused and will approach his/her work with a positive attitude and an appetite for continuous improvement. The team he/she will be joining operates in a fast-paced environment and works closely with its customer base to continually deliver value. As Ward Solutions are a well-respected Information Security provider, a focus on security and best practice approach are a must for any candidates. Qualifications / Prior Experience • 2+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably within Managed Services / IT Support function• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with clients, other team members, and vendors.• Strong problem solving, process workflow, and troubleshooting skills are a requirement.• Knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001, ISO 20001 and other regulator-imposed guidelines is welcome. • Experience with enterprise level ticketing and monitoring tools and best practice configuration for ITIL aligned incident and event management. Additional: • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently.• Adaptable to diverse environments, and ability to cope with emergency business-critical events.• Assertive and self-driven individual who can ensure tasks are followed through until completion.• Demonstrated Team player and superior customer service skills.• Participate in 24/7 on call rota.• Self-motivated, energetic, and positive with a “can do” attitude.• Phone and remote support experience, knowledge and resolution ability.• Ability to solve and document solutions for usage of other technicians and customers.What can you expect in return?In addition to Salary, and benefits, Ward offers its employees a creative and collaborative work environment, we reward courage and innovation and believe in treating our team well.
