The International Indirect Tax team is based in Workday's Dublin office which employs many different nationalities and are currently looking for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join our growing Indirect Tax (ITX) team. About the Role The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst will support the International ITX team on all aspects of indirect tax reporting and compliance functions. The position's responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely reporting of ITX compliance, supporting business functions on ITX related queries, and maintaining internal control and reconciliation of ITX accounts. Working on various ITX projects and supplementary work as part of continuous improvement of ITX compliance process.The ideal candidate is a great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced International Finance department based in Dublin. Responsibilities Manage the process for Indirect Tax filings for assigned international Workday entitiesReview and analyze ITX data to identify potential savings opportunities and ensure complianceApprove final ITX filings and BS reconciliationsWork with outsourced providers where relevant and ensure service providers are providing a value-added serviceEnsure ITX general ledger accounts are accurate and reconciled with the other relevant data, such as VAT declarations, P&L, etc. on a timely basisResponding to ITX queries and provide practical ITX support to other Workday teams/business partnersReview of Accounts Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR) and Intercompany transactions, and identify and follow up on any errors or exceptionsInvolvement in month-end process including posting journals in Workday FinancialsFollow-up ITX legislation changes and implement new processes and updates, building technical knowledge in the processSupport with internal and Tax Authorities queries and auditsIdentify and implement process controls and/or task automationAct as main point of contact on selected ITX projects About You Basic Qualifications5+ years' experience gained in a global ITX environmentUniversity degree in business, finance, accounting or similar qualificationGood understanding of accounting and its implications on ITXKnowledge of VAT law and indirect taxesOther QualificationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and in a teamAbility to handle varied tasks and prioritise workloadCapacity to contribute to the development of a fast-growing departmentContinually seeks to improve work processes and find ideas for more effective workingCapacity to learn new concepts and technology quicklyCTA/ACCA qualified preferredFlexibility to work across different time zones when requiredExcellent computer literacy skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skillsMotivated self-starter with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
