The successful candidate will be a part of the commercial team which provides support in all areas to the division.The QS Team ensures that everything is completed to the necessary quality, within the allotted budget and timeframe. This position requires that an individual be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem-solving skills, organisational and communication skills.Key Role Responsibilities:Providing support to the quantity surveyors, working on several national and international projects in commercial and operational areas. Carrying out feasibility studiesCost control and cost benefit analysisRisk analysis evaluationsAssisting with the management of Monthly Valuations including additional WorksAssisting with managing the Monthly/Weekly Cost/Value ReportsLearning about the procurement of Materials and Sub-ContractorsAssisting in the Preparation of Tender SubmittalsAssisting with the management of project costings and progress tracking. What we’re looking for: The candidate should have a Degree in Quantity Surveying1+ years post qualification experience within the industry.Experience of MV/HV electrical work would be beneficial.Excellent Commercial knowledge and understandingStrong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including diagnostic skillsPlanning skillsProblem solvingStrong communication skillsGood initiativeAbility to juggle and manage many prioritiesAbility to work independently At Mainline we are building a significant business, and accordingly this position presents a great opportunity for the right candidate, as we are looking for someone who will get involved and grow with us.Salary: A competitive remuneration package with excellent prospects for career development will be offered to suitable candidatesLocation: Office base is Cork / Munster & supporting nationwide and international operations.Position: Permanent & Full time – available immediately.
