Role: DevOps EngineerDuration: 6 months contract and likely extensionsLocation: Remote (Ireland)Daily Rate: €450 to €500About the Role:We are seeking for a client, a leader in the fintech industry, as a DevOps Engineer to drive innovation and streamline their software delivery process! You'll work on build pipeline creation, source code repository management, security scanner tooling, and more. The ideal candidate is motivated, curious, analytical, and has strong communication skills.Key Responsibilities: Architect and Design New Functionality: Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and functionalities to enhance the software delivery pipeline.Develop and Maintain CI/CD Processes: Implement, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure efficient and reliable software releases.Participate in Code-Reviews and Code Scanning: Engage in code review sessions and utilize code scanning tools to maintain code quality and security standards.Automate and Simplify Software Delivery: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline and simplify the software delivery process.Guide New Technology Adoption: Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the DevOps environment. Required Skills and Experience: Linux and Scripting: Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python or Shell.Source Code Management: Experience with GitLab administration or similar tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.CI/CD Process Automation: Demonstrated experience in automating CI/CD processes, preferably with Jenkins.Proficiency in Monitoring and Configuration Tools: Strong knowledge and experience with tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Chef, and Bash.Communication and Collaboration: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities. Eligibility Requirements: Location: Must be based in Ireland.Work Authorization: Must hold an EU/UK passport or Stamp 4 visa.
