Description:
CAD / BIM TechnicianNavan, Co.Meath. The Role: The successful individual will be involved in the production of detailed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), General Arrangement site layout’s, 3D models. There will also be a requirement to generate more detailed drawings for manufacturer and site installation. Experience using CAD, Revit, Inventor, and 3D plant is not essential but a distinct advantage.Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities of the CAD / BIM Technician Support the Design Manager and wider Team.Understand and ensure compliance with client specifications, user requirement specifications and H & S requirements.Develop P & ID ‘s for relevant projects.Prepare 2D and 3D models and general arrangements drawings using Revit.Meet project deadlines.Proactive participation in the design process to maintain quality. Provide good design standards and always apply good engineering practice.Create drawing details for manufacture. Management of CAD files and BIM, drawing register and drawing issue sheets.Liaising with contractors, Project Engineers, surveyors, and others for drawing.To undertake duties for the company as required. Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceThe main knowledge, skills and experience required of the CAD / BIM Technician are outlined as follows: 2 years’ experience working in a similar role preferable but not essential.Relevant 3rd level qualification.Ideally be a proficient user of Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, Inventor and 3D plant.Ideally can read and follow schematic drawings and proficient in the development of GA drawings.Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment industry would be advantageous but not essential.
