Job Title: Automation Tester *2 RolesContract Duration: 6-12 monthsLocation: Dublin or Galway (Hybrid)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our dynamic team in Dublin on a 6-12 month contract basis. This role offers a competitive day rate and the flexibility of a hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in software quality engineering and be adept in a variety of development technologies and test automation frameworks.Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for various software applications.Collaborate with development and product teams to understand application features and create robust, comprehensive test plans.Utilize a range of test automation tools and frameworks including Java/J2EE, jUnit, Ruby, Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity, JavaScript/Angular, Spring, Web Services, REST, and HTTP.Implement and enhance continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools.Ensure all aspects of testing (unit testing, acceptance testing, etc.) are completed to the highest standards.Quickly learn and understand large software systems end-to-end.Contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies, frameworks, and best practices within the team. Skills and Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Software Quality Engineering.Technical Skills: Proficient in multiple development technologies and test automation frameworks such as Java/J2EE, jUnit, Ruby, Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity, JavaScript/Angular, Spring, Web Services, REST, and HTTP.Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools. Testing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of all aspects of testing including unit testing and acceptance testing.Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.Collaboration: Strong collaborative approach, actively contributing to team efforts and project completion.Passion for Development: Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, and writing testable and maintainable code.Initiative: Self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic, and results-oriented.Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail with a focus on solving complex problems, not just detecting them. Personal Attributes A proactive and collaborative approach to work.Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and results-oriented mindset.A passion for quality and excellence in software development and testing.Ability to adapt quickly to new and evolving software systems.
