Key roles and responsibilities Plan International Ireland is looking for dynamic individual who is interested in child rights, gender equality, international development and humanitarian work. The goal of the internship is to reinforce the link between Plan Ireland programme, evidence and impact: thanks to the support in data collection, data analysis and research, you will contribute to showcase the impact of Plan Ireland EiE programs. You will support our Education in Emergency Team in collecting evidence about EiE programming with a focus on: i) education outcomes, mental health and psychosocial support and child protection impact. You will also support the Head of Programmes in collating data and information related to the programmes department and the department strategy.You will have excellent written and analytic skills in order to support the team in preparing data analysis and indicator’s report along with supporting in reporting and proposal writingThe internship in Plan offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to build on relevant academic qualifications in a practical, meaningful way, that will support career progression. Interns are expected to be available to undertake a 6 month international secondment in a Plan Country Office following the successful completion of the internship, if such an opportunity arises.Support will be provided on the following areas: Supporting on evidence collection, by formulating indicators and analysing data.Supporting lessons learned exercises by analysing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data.Supporting in delivering M&E capacity building.Supporting in designing metrics related to the mentioned programmatic areas.Support in preparing and collating information to support the Head of Programmes with day-to-day tasks and towards improved information and knowledge management Preparing and supporting in delivering impact presentations. Supporting in the design and management of a database Person specification Skills and abilities You will have strong analytic skills and knowledge of excel and other data collection and analysis tools. You will be familiar with the standard MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) You will have strong writing skills.Fluency in English is mandatory, French language skills are a distinct asset Competencies Strong communications and networking skills: the role requires co-ordination with a diverse number of stakeholders, both internal and external. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills: the role requires an ability to plan well and deliver on objectives in a timely way. QualificationsYou will be educated to Degree level, in humanitarian studies or related fieldswith focus on research and data analysis (mandatory) Location The Plan International Ireland office is located on Harrington Street, Dublin 8. This internship role will be primarily based in the Plan International Ireland office, with some remote working available on an ad hoc basis.
