The Role:Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the achievement of the business’ strategic goals by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the HR function. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and the capability to handle a variety of HR tasks, simultaneously.Recruitment and Onboarding: Work with the HR Director to lead the enhancement of the employer brand through multiple communication channels.Lead the company’s graduate and early career recruitment programme, reviewing and building out the company offering, building key stakeholder relationships, developing and communicating internal career pathways etc.Support all stages of the recruitment process from advertising to onboarding. Performance Management: Assist the HR Director with the ongoing improvement and implementation of performance appraisal processes and systems.Provide support to managers and employees to get the most from the meetings and system.Provide training on the process and/or system where required. HR Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.Ensure that HR policies are consistently applied and adhered to.Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. Training and Development: Partner with managers and the HR Director to produce an annual training needs analysis and plan, that addresses skills gaps and future development needs in line with the business strategy.Source and continuously review providers to ensure the highest quality of learning is provided within budget.Support employee development initiatives and career progression plans, providing clarity for employees on career paths within the organization. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.Act as an employee advocate to ensure fairness and due diligence is adhered to in line with company values.Aim to pre-empt potential employee issues by actively engaging with employees and managers both formally and informally on a ongoing basis.Facilitate conflict resolution and provide guidance on employee relations issues.Lead employee well-being programs and initiatives. Record metrics and analyse employee survey data, devise action plans with management and ensure follow through to achieve desired outcomes. Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs and respond to benefits-related inquiries.Conduct regular benchmarking and gather market data on industry remuneration.Contribute to the development and communication of compensation policies. HR Metrics and Reporting: Compile and analyse HR metrics and prepare reports for management.Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements. Where you’ve come from: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role with a particularly strong knowledge of recruitment.Experience in a similar industry will be beneficial. Who you are: Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law. High level of personal motivation & initiative, working at times without all the desired information or direction.Focused on results with effective time management ability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to build relationships at all levels.A common sense, practical approach.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
