What You'll Do: The Senior DBA for our visitor management solutions is a pivotal role in our organization, managing infrastructure, database management, overseeing infrastructure creation, and security of our solutions. Acre security’s visitor management solutions allows enterprises to control visitors to their facilities giving a branded experience to the visitor, while providing insights, accountability (for the visitor). From assisted visitor checkin to highly automated digital self service flows, we have a solution that fits your business. Many fortune 100 enterprises depend on our solutions and the tight integrations to other business systems that streamline both the visitor and host’s experience. Our solutions are not tied to just the enterprise corporation. We have solutions that are deployed in Education, Healthcare, Cruise Lines, Construction, Law Enforcement and many more. In more detail, the Senior DBA will take care of AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS. Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Lambda. Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub actions and pipelines. Monitor and optimize AWS resources and costs using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Cost Management tools. Oracle Database Management: Perform database tuning, optimization, and maintenance to ensure high performance and availability. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies. Perform database migrations and upgrades. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain IaC scripts using tools like Ansible/Terraform.  Ensure infrastructure configurations are version-controlled and automated. Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure requirements and implement solutions. Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security best practices for both AWS and Oracle environments. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. You should have experience in identity and access management standards (IAM) such as SAML, OAuth, JWT and SCIM. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, and support teams to ensure smooth operations and troubleshoot issues. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Document processes, procedures, and systems for internal use. Network Engineering: You’ll understand networking protocols and standards, as well as be fluent in subnets, routing, VPN and DNS management What You'll Need: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in software engineering or a related field 5+ years’ experience in product development and / or database administration Experience within the security industry sector is an advantage Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (eg Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of other cloud platforms (eg Azure, GCP) Experience with other database platforms (eg DynamoDB, MongoDB) Strong capabilities in scripting languages (eg Python, bash, etc) Competencies and Skills An ability to clearly, concisely and effectively communicate a number of diverse topics to a variety of audiences. Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to work tactfully and respectfully with a wide variety of individuals, stakeholders, and partners Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical and creative approach Proven ability to interact with people at all levels, from different disciplines within a multi-cultural organization Why Acre?
