DescriptionWe are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated individual in the role of Intermediate Assistant Quantity Surveyor reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor.You will be working within a well-established team on a variety of prestigious projects. The current workload is exciting and you will be involved at all stages of high value projects. This is a great opportunity to be part of an expanding team, where you will have the opportunity to develop and bring added value to your career and gain additional skills with a BIM enabled contractor.Stewart Construction is a top 10 Irish Contractor with over 120 year's active presence in the industry.Education (either of the following)Degree in Quantity SurveyingGeneral Construction or Engineering Degree with 5+ years surveyingQS conversion MScJob Responsibilities Procuring Subcontractors & SuppliersCompiling and Issuing Sub ContractsCommercial management of Sub Contractors and SuppliersNegotiating and agreeing Sub Contractor final accountsResponsibility for agreeing monthly valuations with the Client's representativeCost reporting & projectingInvolvement in preparation of monthly project Payment ClaimsInvolvement in internal monthly project Commercial ReportsMonitoring all ongoing commercial aspects during the course of the project RequirementsMinimum 5 year's experience in a QS roleContractually and commercially astuteExcellent written and spoken communication skills, dealing with clients and design teamsGood NegotiatorExperience administering RIAI, GCC & Bespoke forms of contractIT LiterateExperience with Cubit, CostX & COINS software packages preferablePrevious experience working on high quality medium and large scale projects in various sectors Industrial, Health, Pharma, Commercial & Education
