Role Overview : As a Head Chef, you'll be a pivotal part of our hostel's food operation, reporting directly to the General Manager. Your role will encompass a blend of guest service excellence and administrative prowess, ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen. We have a café with a limited food offering available 24 hours per day; breakfast served daily and bar food served from 12pm to 10pm seven days per week. Some key role responsibilities are: Ability to lead the kitchen team, while being involved in the day-to-day shift operations Being able to work under pressure in a fast paced multi offer kitchen Ability to train and motivate staff Schedule planning effective, efficient rostering Knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards Volume Cooking planning, costings and execution of group meals. Stock Control manage inventory levels, minimize waste, control costs through effective purchasing, portion control, correct margins. Who We're Looking For : We're seeking an individual eager to take ownership of their own kitchen and enhance their financial management skills. Ideally, you'll have previous experience as a senior chef in a fast-paced production kitchen, with a strong understanding of HACCP principles and food hygiene standards.
