OBW Technologies Ltd, the leading national provider of portable and fixed gas detection sensors and solutions in Ireland is currently looking to hire a Workshop Calibrations Engineer to join their fast-paced, dynamic and growing team. Reporting to the Workshop Lead, the successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team, helping to complete calibration and service of gas detection instrumentation, in addition to maintaining the calibration database. They will assist the team in ensuring that we achieve the best results and deliver a consistently high-quality service to a variety of clients companies predominantly in the life sciences, high tech & utility provision sectors.The successful applicant will have an Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation background. They must be well-organized, thorough, diligent and with good attention to detail and have excellent PC skills. They will be a result’s driven candidate, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks, and have excellent attention to detail and Customer Focus. Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written are required.The role will be both office (95%) and field (5%) based. Applicants may, on occasion, need to travel to the site of work and interact directly with customers. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of electricity and circuitry as they will be working with electrical apparatus.Main Duties On site calibration and service of gas detection instrumentation Maintenance of calibration databaseReceiving goods in and shipping goods out using our CRM systemAssist in identifying low stock levels and stock take duties.Operation of general office duties to include dealing with customer service queries by telephone or email.Assisting in the scheduling/quotations of calibrations for the Service department Other duties as required and agreed with the Workshop Lead / Service Manager
