We are on the lookout for an experienced Software Development Manager who will contribute to our team's ongoing success and growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact the learning experiences of millions of users worldwide, working alongside a diverse and driven team. About the Role As a Software Development Engineering Manager in our Learning Core team, you will lead projects with high visibility and strategic importance. Your role involves leading software developers, fostering high-quality enterprise application development, and adopting innovative approaches to technical challenges. You will act as a coach and mentor, lead with empathy, inspire your team and guide them to achieve excellence. Your role is pivotal in nurturing a growth mindset, challenging the conventional processes, and driving sustainable success at Workday. Moreover, you will cultivate a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusion, and fun, ensuring a vibrant, energised, and engaging environment for all team members. Responsibilities: Lead development teams through Scrum Agile methodologies to deliver innovative features for global markets.Strategize with multi-functional teams to prioritise, plan, and create exceptional experiences for Workday Learning customers.Coordinate the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and enhancement of the Workday Learning product to ensure superior quality.Collaborate extensively with Development, Product, QA, Automation, Research/UX, Agility, Doc-writing, and Customer Support teams to proactively address and resolve customer issues creatively and efficiently.Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth at Workday.Embody and promote Workday's core values: Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity, Fun, and Profitability. About You Basic Qualifications 3+ years experience leading Agile software development teams.5+ years in OOP software design and development, with proven experience in UML modelling. Other Qualifications A degree in Computer Science or a related field.Experience in a fast-paced, innovative software development environmentProven ability to build trust, communicate and collaborate with diverse team members.Demonstrable experience effectively combining Agile methodologies with the latest software development processes.
