The Lifecycle Management (LCM) team certifies, deploys, expands, and patches Infrastructure systems within Workdays global data centers. With the goal of incorporating Infrastructure-As-Code into our day-to-day workflow we are paving the way for how we deliver capacity to our internal customers. A successful candidate will be a hybrid engineer; network and automation, who will play an integral role in the provisioning and management of our large-scale infrastructure while focusing on improving resistance and efficiency. You will work on delivering new capacity, identifying areas of improvement, creating actionable plans/projects to address issues programmatically, and seeing the delivery of these programs across our global data centers! This will require you to work effectively as an individual and collaborate across teams as a cohesive unit to deliver creative and innovative solutions, processes, projects, and products. About the Role Actively support Workday SaaS service in a multi-Cloud environment. Work as a member of a global team rapidly growing large Infrastructure platforms across Datacenters worldwide. Establish sophisticated and highly automated procedures, constantly evolve our current network automation services to meet architecture and operational goals. Develop tools and workflows to automate network provisioning, management, reliability, and scaling Partner with Datacenter Ops, Network Architect team, and Product Groups to deliver various projects About You Basic Qualifications Understanding of enterprise data center transport networking, routing, and switching Demonstrated working knowledge on Networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, OSPF, DNS, ECMP, and CDN 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting all aspects of large production data center network infrastructure, including layer 2 and layer 3 switching, routing, internet connectivity, and IPSEC VPN solutions. Ability to prioritize projects, create robust documentation, and collaborate across Other Qualifications BS Technical degree or equivalent work experience 3+ years of hands on experience supporting and managing network hardware/software: Cisco, Nexus, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, F5, OpenGear, and Arista Familiar with one of the following functional languages: Python, Go, Ruby, C, or Java Familiar with basic software development workflow and OOP principles Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies Familiar with one of the following functional languages: Python, Go, Ruby, C, or Java Familiar with basic software development workflow and OOP principles Experience building, deploying or supporting a large scale network infrastructure. Experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible, (NSO), Itential, and Solarwinds Build automation and provisioning tasks using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef Familiarity with XML and JSON Some level of automation testing or application tuning is preferred Ability to analyze business processes and create data-driven recommendations for improvement. Familiarity with tools like BitBucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Vault is preferred Experience in automating and optimizing processes, building pipelines using CI/CD tools is highly desirable Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
