This role involves managing costs and contracts related to electrical and instrumentation aspects of the project from the initial calculations to the final figures.We are currently looking for Quantity Surveyor's in Cork.ResponsibilitiesThe Quantity Surveyor responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects. Including managing costs, negotiating contracts, and procuring materials for electrical and instrumentation works. Develop and manage detailed cost analysis for electrical and instrumentation work throughout the project lifecycleCollaborate closely with engineering teams to understand and evaluate technical drawings and specificationsNegotiate and procure services and materials from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the best quality and cost efficiencyTrack changes to the design and/or work plan, adjusting budget projections accordinglyEnsure contract compliance, managing invoices and payment certificationsAssess and recommend on contractual claims and administer contract variationsProvide and maintain timely and accurate project cost reportsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure that project financial goals and compliance with the project schedule are met Our Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for the Quantity Surveyor position will possess a strong background in quantity surveying specifically for electrical and instrumentation disciplines within the engineering and construction sectors. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly beneficial. They should excel in cost management, negotiation, and contract management. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement and problem resolution. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Further qualifications or certifications in Quantity Surveying or Project Management are preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with substantial experience managing costs for electrical and instrumentation works in large-scale projectsProficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft), strong negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilitiesDetail-oriented, proactive in cost-saving and efficiency-improving practices, committed to professional development, and staying informed of industry standards and new technologies in electrical and instrumentation engineering What's on offerJoining WiiGroup means you get to work with creative professional who want to push the boundaries of innovation & digitalisation.
