The Product Developer Tooling organization develops software and tools to support all of Workday Product Development and Testing and is extremely passionate about improving developer productivity.As a Software Development Manager in our Tooling organization, you will be at the foundation of Workday's technology, leading a team that builds the software that empowers other engineers across Workday to rapidly develop, test and deliver high quality products. Our team currently serves the almost 3,000 strong Workday development community by providing scalable development and testing tools that are vital to support an efficient and continuous delivery platform. We have a work environment that is not driven by external product launches, but is driven by the needs of our own development community, which allows us to focus on producing well thought-out solutions that enhance our development environment, automated testing and delivery pipeline. About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Software Development Manager for our Dublin office to help lead our Tooling initiatives and scrum teams in Dublin. About You Basic Qualifications3+ years experience in software engineering leadership or management roles4+ years experience in development rolesProven track record of coordinating the development and delivery of complex software projectsProficient working with agile methodologies such as Scrum & KanbanAbility to plan, estimate, prioritize, schedule, execute and deliver on the Product roadmapExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesStrong technical background with good analytical skillsPassionate about fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture that empowers career growthOther QualificationsYou have managed and coached software developers ranging in experience from new engineers up to seasoned professionalsStrong design and technical capabilities in object oriented and/or functional programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, etcYou focus on delivering high quality software products and you value test automation and performance engineeringUnderstand and promote industry standards and methodologiesBS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
