Description:
On behalf of our client, based near Wexford Town, we are seeking a IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR.THE POSITION PROVIDES FOR HYBRID WORKING. Role Summary The role will involve day-to-day support for our end users, hardware, software, and applications. Also maintaining the high reliability, security, and performance of our servers, supported by the IT manager. Key Accountabilities are, but not limited to : Diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by staff in a timely manner. Microsoft Windows Server support & administration Patch & vulnerability management for stability and security. Documenting system builds / decommissioning procedures and update and/or create technical documentation where necessary. Control inventory of all hardware, application and software usage and rollouts. Management of Access Controls - Active Directory management, User permissions, auditing. Backup and Recovery management using Veeam Ensuring all systems are part of the scheduled backups and conducting regular test restores. Administering Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Domain Management, DNS, Group Policy, Intune, Administration of nominated business server applications Management of DR Site including testing and implementing changes. Website changes using WordPress. Broad knowledge of peripheral technologies. The jobholder will report to the IT Manager. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Third level IT qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar position with Microsoft OS technology including O365. Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Functional knowledge of Windows 11, Veeam Backups, Virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V) and Windows Server 2019 experience upwards. Excellent communication, and relationship building skills. Ability to Work to strict deadlines and ambitious targets. Act with integrity, confidence, and accountability.
