Strong collaborator and exceptional teammate. Good understanding of Linux systems in a Production Environment. Availability to support a daytime-only shift pattern that will include some weekends. Excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to write detailed runbooks and share knowledge with colleagues. Proactive and prompt in responding to impactful issues and incidents. 2+ years of experience supporting a 24x7 large-scale production environment, preferably across multiple data centers, and across multiple cloud providers such as AWS and GCP. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience Other Qualifications: Solve complex problems in tools such as Docker, Python, HTTPd, MySQL, Git, Java web applications, etc. Apply demonstrated proficiency in Linux and debugging fundamentals to efficiently identify and resolve issues. Work with a variety of tool sets including Chef, Jenkins, OSSEC, SPLUNK, ELK, Ansible, AWX, JIRA, Confluence, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory, and Kubernetes. Foster enterprise-level thinking by producing comprehensive documentation, runbooks, conducting root cause analysis, monitoring capacity trends, resolving bugs, and developing scripts. Ability to write and deploy code in a production environment. Demonstrate a secret passion for monitoring by proactively addressing false positives and continuously improving our monitoring capabilities. Balance multiple tasks, make sound business decisions, tackle problems under pressure, and prioritise and organise effectively.
