Job description Role: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: CorkSalary: Excellent salary on offerMSL Engineering Ltd is a mechanical engineering firm, who provide services to multinational clients in the pharmaceutical, oil and gas, food and beverage and medical devices industry.Responsibilities Involvement in all phases of the project, including tender documentation, cost management, contractor performance assessment, and procurement.Administer Sub-Contract orders from award to final accountReviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reportingIdentify, Analyse and report on trends within the Business & ProjectsAttend and provide input to relevant customer/client commercial meetingsEnsure compliance with Contract Programme /Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual hoursReview all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team, and /or subcontractor to identify Contractually critical items and to initiate replies.Create a procurement schedule for the projectConduct periodic review of works to identify appropriate cost saving measures Profile Relevant Degree8 years’+ experience working as a Mechanical QS on Pharma projectsGood communication skills and proven record in taking Tenders from Pricing through to final client award Key Skills Microsoft ExcelPrimaVeraTime ManagementCommunicationProficient with Piping Measures and Isometrics / P&ID’sAbility to work in a team environment but also able to work independently to close out Final Accounts Due to the urgency of this role, we cannot consider candidates that do not have the appropriate work permits in place.
