Job Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer Location: Dublin, IrelandType: Hybrid with 1 to 2 days to officeDaily Rate contract with likely extensionsClient: Financial and Public Sector Government departmentNumber of Roles: 2Job Description:We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation EngineerResponsibilities:Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cucumber BDD Framework and Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of revenue-driven applications.Utilize Java programming skills to write robust automation scripts, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.Implement and manage version control using Git, ensuring seamless integration of automated tests into the development pipeline.Design and execute comprehensive API test suites, leveraging XML, JSON, and REST/SOAP-based APIs to validate data integrity and functionality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable test scenarios and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation, including test plans, test cases, and technical specifications, to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.Share expertise with colleagues through mentorship, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous learning initiatives.Demonstrate curiosity and tenacity in investigating and resolving complex technical issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in automation testing, with a focus on revenue-driven projects.Strong proficiency in Cucumber BDD Framework, Selenium, and Java programming language.Experience with Git version control and familiarity with version control workflows.Understanding of XML and JSON data formats, and their role in SOAP/REST-based APIs.Recognized importance of documentation in software development, with a keen attention to detail.Enthusiasm for sharing skills and knowledge with others, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and upskilling.Curiosity and tenacity to investigate and understand complex technical issues, driving effective problem-solving.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.SalaryDepends on the experience and availability
