The CompanyOur client is an expanding M&E Consultancy focused on providing excellent design solutions to clients. They now seek an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to be based in their Galway office.The RoleYou will ideally have experience in the delivery of education, commercial, Healthcare, residential type projects. Pharmaceutical/clean room projects would be advantageous.Responsibilities Responsible for the management of projects with support from the office team. Researches, develops, designs and assumes responsibility for coordination and monitoring of engineering project services for Mechanical installations etc.Completion of surveys and reports on existing mechanical installations.Represent Company at technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractor teams.Preparation of specifications, reports etc (MS Word & Excel).Preparation of design drawings (AutoCAD – 2D).Preparation of design calculations for mechanical services to comply with current building construction standards and regulations.Ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet required industry and regulations.Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management and Technical Review perspective. Requirements: Degree Qualified (or equivalent).Experience of writing specifications and preparation of detailed mechanical services AutoCAD drawings (Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD).Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Teams, Zoom etc.Revit capabilities desirable.Ability to use or experience of Hevacomp software.Good understanding of Building Regulations, CIBSE Guides & BS standards.Ability to prioritise own workload.Ability to work to deadlines. Managerial Skills: Act in an ethical manner and follows the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.Background in consulting or construction preferred.
