About the Team This role is a part of the Opportunity Onramps programme at Workday-a supportive pathway to launch your career in technology regardless of your background. During this 6-month fixed term role, you'll make an impact at Workday by engaging in meaningful work, forging professional connections, and strengthening your skills in an encouraging environment. In the Integrations Development Platform team, our mission is to provide a world-class integration platform that empowers our Customers to connect seamlessly with Workday. About the Role As a Software Engineer in the Integrations Development Platform team, you will be developing data and transport components, micro-services and shared libraries using our technology stack in an highly distributed environment. We use a minimalist approach by building small components that can be embedded in larger frameworks or applications. What we expect from you: You will learn to design and develop enterprise solutions with high quality standards. You understand and use Design Patterns to deliver scalable and always available solutions. You will work with team members to achieve the delivery goals as a daily routine. You will become part of a world-class team so you must be a team player with great communication skills (verbal and written). You have curiosity about multi-threading and concurrency. About You Basic Qualifications Current or past participant or willingness to participate with Specialisterne Ireland consulting group 2+ years experience with software development or Master's level education in Computer Science or related field of study Demonstrated ability in programming applying Java Other Qualifications Willingness to work on large enterprise software projects that span multiple teams, deliver on-time while working in a fast paced agile environment Comfortable working alongside our product organization to clarify and prune requirements, delivering value incrementally and frequently Understanding of Design Patterns Familiarity with unit testing, git workflow, and Jenkins is a plus Workday is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
