Ohshima Ireland is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi-national company background.Job Responsibilities· Providing Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering support to both customers and suppliers.· You are to focus primarily on the machine shop but your role may vary in keeping with customer demand.· Consult in determining materials, equipment, determines materials, equipment, piping, capacities, layout of plant or system and specification for manufacture capacities, layout of plant or system and specification for manufacture.· Providing support to the Production and team in terms of planning and designing new processes in a manner that can be easily implemented.· Playing a key role in further developing processes in the implementation of our ERP system for all products to customers.· Manufacturing of prototypes and validation of product within specification with view to upscaling to full product runs.· Identifying and implementing improvements to equipment, processes and methods.· Identifying and driving improvement initiative to reduce costs and improve on time delivery.· Responsible for applying, maintaining and improving lean manufacturing procedures.· Playing a role in developing processes and implementation of a new ERP system.· Actively supporting the Engineering team to ensure task flexibility.· Organise and establishes control systems to monitor operational efficiency and performance of materials and systems· Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.· Make recommendations concerning the development of new products or services that will enhance the product offering to our customers.For more information please apply or contact XXXX@Ohshima.ie
