We are a specialist provider of consultancy and implementation services for IT infrastructure and data architectures within life science manufacturing. Our role is to be a companion on the road for technology teams to be able to use as a tool at times when decisions need to be made.We now have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Automation Engineer to join our growing team and work on site with our blue-chip multinational clients within the pharmaceutical industry. This role is a full-time role based out of one of our client sites in Limerick.The PositionThe successful candidate will be a smart, enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in developing their technical knowledge.Your responsibilities will include, but won’t be limited to – Provide technical and automation support to sustain business needs.Perform investigation of manufacturing deviations and anomalies related to automation and software.Implement software changes and upgrades in adherence with procedures.Manage projects related to corrective action or equipment performance improvement.Ability to program, diagnose and troubleshoot Allen Bradley Rockwell PLC and HMI application for automated process equipment.Develop and implement software solutions through change control as required while understanding impact of actions to Manufacturing and Facilities equipment.Provide guidance and develop engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment and follow GAMP 5 guidelines.Provides technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.Provides out of hours on call support.Support, maintain and diagnose automation hardware. The Requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, coupled with a Degree in IT, Science or EngineeringKnowledge of GAMP lifecycle and quality management processes employed in a regulated environment.You must have extensive previous experience working with validated Automation systems in a pharmaceutical environment.Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of Allen Bradley and Rockwell automation platforms.A full valid Irish work permit is required for this role as it is an immediate start.
