We champion our core values and uphold the highest standards of Safety and Well-being, Innovation, Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, Agility, Accountability, Diversity and Inclusion in everything we do.We have a talented team of 450+ people across Ireland and the UK and are rapidly expanding our workforce across several disciplines to meet our ambitious growth plans.The Role:Due to increasing workload on existing multiyear frameworks in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, Glanua require an experienced programmer/planner to work with an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated team from our Galway office.Main Duties and Responsibilities: The main duties and responsibilities of the role are outlined as follows: Creating, maintaining and reviewing a programme of workLiaising with design team, engineers and clients, to develop, review and update current programmes on a monthly basisProducing progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients and stakeholdersBreaking large jobs down into phases of development, scheduling and Identify bottlenecks or interdependencesUsing project management tools to plan timeframesWorking with estimators to calculate the resources needed for a projectPlanning contingency programmes in case timeframes changeAssist in bids for tenderManaging several projects programmes with the support of junior planners, Contract or Project ManagersWorking between offices and construction sites (if needed).Provide detailed support and assistance to projects as neededProduce reports and programme commentary to customers on particular reporting requirementsProduce programmes / reports as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programmeFormally issue programme updates to the customer as required by contracts specificsAttend progress meetings with internal and external customers and deliver presentation on project progressDevelop and produce fully logic linked and integrated tender programme comprising the design, procurement, construction and commission compliant with tender sum, design and methodology without assistanceEnsure planning and programming reports are produced on time Knowledge, Skills and Experience: The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the role are outlined as follows: +5 years mid-senior level planning experienceAbility to develop a design or construction project at project inception stage to inform required team needsDemonstrate knowledge of construction preferably in the water/wastewater industryStrong communication including writing reports and presentingUnderstanding engineering principles, preferably in the water/wastewater industryWorking knowledge of NEC and FIDIC Gold form of ContractsGood organisation and time management skillsMethodological in approach to workHigh Attention to detailExcellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including MS Project, and Primavera P6Budget and financial managementLeadership, Work as part of a team and individuallyA Site Management background is beneficial What we offer you:· The opportunity to join an ambitious and growing organization.· Monday to Friday working week finishing early on Fridays.· 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays.· Competitive base salary with annual salary review.· A company laptop and phone.· Access to EAP – 24/7 365 days confidential employee counselling service, free for employees and their families.At Glanua, we believe that people are the core of the business.
