About the Team Engineering Environments is an organization responsible for building scalable, cloud-based instances of the Workday stack for Workday developers and testers, as well as the Workday Continuous Delivery pipeline. We are at the core of the Workday Developer Experience and are driving next Generation Environments and Services for 5000+ Workday engineers. In support of the increasing demand, we are growing our team delivering Cloud based services which meet Workday's Operational, Performance, Management and Security needs. About the Role The Engineering Environments team is looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join us in building the next generation platform for Workday Developers, to deliver reliable, resilient SaaS products to our customers.As a Senior DevOps engineer in our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge cloud platform technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, GCP).This unique role blends an understanding of the full Workday stack with usage of cutting-edge cloud computing technologies as we enable the platform for our developer's needs.You'll work with highly experienced engineers in Dublin and the US to achieve this. You will become knowledgeable in Workday Platform and Service architecture, working with Kubernetes on AWS and GCP in support of our multi-cloud strategy. You will build and maintain the engineering environments, enabling features for our Engineers, and work cross team to identify root causes and solutions. You will continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance teams' efficiency About You Senior Software Development Engineer:Basic Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years industry experience. Track record of troubleshooting complex systems Kubernetes experience and the ability to troubleshoot clusters, pods and containers Experience with helm and docker Linux scripting experience cloud computing experience (technical essentials: RDS, s3, networking) Other Qualifications: Experience working cross teams in analysis and solution finding Istio experience Experience with general monitoring solutions, creating dashboards and alerts (e.g. Grafana) Programming with Go / Ruby (or other 4GL / scripting) Good working knowledge of distributed systems and microservices Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Software Development Engineer Basic Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years industry experience.
